Monitoring Ambient conditions

The correct indoor climate is important for the well-being of humans and animals. It is also essential for proper storage of wood, paper, art objects, tools, etc.

Modern concept

It is the application of modern technology (microprocessors, surface-mounted components) that gives the Humigraf+ an advantage over both mechanical (conventional Hygrograph, Thermograph) purely electronic (Data logger) devices. This combined with minimum physical dimensions, minimal weight and maximum precision. Ease of operation and excellent readability are naturally to be expected, along with attractive practical features such as Alarm and display of Minimum and Maximum values.

Maximum accuracy

A microcomputer controls all the functions of the Humigraf. The analogue sensor signals are amplified and digitalised in the Signal Processor and then input to the Microcomputer, which then calculates relative humidity and temperature. The compensation algorithm applied to the sensor guarantees an extremely high accuracy throughout the full operating (i.e. temperature) range. The application of modern electronics (no need for trim potentiometers!) ensures the long-term stability of the Humigraf+.

Easy to set up

Simply insert paper and batteries, adjust writing tips and paper position, set the desired values, done! Through the arrangement of the pens at the back changing the paper is as simple as changing a film in a camera.

Different temperature and humidity ranges

The following temperature and humidity ranges are selectablev:
-5 ° C to 45 ° C and 0% to 100%, or
5 ° C to 35 ° C and 20% to 80%

7 days in the field of view

With the pen point, ambient temperature and humidity are etched from the back into a waxed paper. A clear trace of the last  7 day record is directly readable in the vision panel. The continuous, perpendicular recording is done without ink or felt tip pens. (No inky fingers or making a mess with the device, no moving parts to replace). 1 roll of paper is sufficient for the recording of a whole year. The paper can be easily labelled with a waterproof marker.

Quartz precision

The paper feeder is controlled using a quartz precision servo motor. A second servo controls the movement of the stylus via a spindle.

Digital display

In addition to the primary display (i.e. the paper roll) the Humigraf has a secondary LCD display, capable of showing temperature and relative humidity, dew point or data required during set-up of the instrument.

LCD

Here, for example, the display shows 12.7°C, 48%.

Alarm

An acoustic and visual alarm indicates that the thresholds set by the user (temperature and relative humidity) are exceeded

Minimum and Maximum Values

By pressing a button, minimum and maximum values can be displayed on the digital screen.

Self-contained

To minimize power consumption, the microcomputer automatically switches to standby mode in-between readings. Only the LCD displays, and other basic functions, operate continuously. Power consumption is so small that the Humigraf can run on a single standard battery for a whole year. It does not require external power supply

State of charge control

Battery voltage is monitored permanently. In case of low battery voltage an appropriate symbol will be displayed on the screen.

Security Lock

Tasten To prevent unauthorized persons from accessing the device, the front cover is lockable. Behind the front cover are two push buttons, an “OFF” button and a “Close” button. Using the “Close” button the setup push buttons can be locked.
In addition the mounting mechanism is covered which allows for thief-proof installation of the device
.

  Key stowage

SchlüsseldepotThe key can be stored on a magnet at the backside of the device

  Installation

The Humigraf+ is self-supporting or might be mounted thief-proof at a wall.

  External Sensor

Given the installation of an external sensor (accessories) the measurements derived from the sensor will be processed automatically.

  Data Memory

Up to 66'000 data points of temperature and humidity are stored in a ringbuffer. Dependent on the sampling interval up to one year of data points might be stored.

For further processing the data can be downloaded from the device to a PC via an USB2.0 interface using the provided USB cable. The software is compatible with windows operating systems starting from version SE.

sampling rate:
1 min = logging period 45 days
1 min = logging period  91 days  3 month
1 min = logging period 182 days 6 month
1 min = logging period 274 days 9 month
1 min = logging period 365 days 1 year

  Swiss Quality

The Humigraf is a true European product - over 90% of all components are manufactured in Europe. The instrument itself is assembled and tested only in Switzerland. A Swiss Precision Instrument!
